After the Games are over, every year we host a Volunteer Thank You party with great food, tons of prizes and lots of fun.

Medical Volunteers

Utah Summer Games medical volunteers can sign up for specific days and times by using the provided calendar.

Open Volunteer Positions:

If you have a specific interest, skill or training in a sport not listed as needing volunteers, please contact the Volunteer Center at 867-8384 or e-mail volcenter@netutah.com.  We can generally accommodate anyone interested in volunteering.

Soccer - June 11-14

Score card and information assistance at 23 soccer fields throughout the Cedar City area.  Games begin at 8 a.m. and end around 8 p.m.  Each game lasts 1.5 hours.  Training is available.

Horseshoes - June 6-7

5 Score keepers at horseshoe park behind Stock Lumber (formerly Anderson Lumber).  Friday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until Noon.  Training is provided.

Basketball - June 16-21

Score keepers at gyms throughout Cedar City.  Most urgent need is for volunteers who can help during morning and early afternoon hours.  Training provided.

Softball (Fast & Slow Pitch)  - June 9-11 & 21

Score keepers at Thunderbird and Bicentennial Fields.  Training provided.

Swimming  - June 19-21

16 volunteers are needed to serve as Timers at SUU Natatorium.  Choose from one of two sections each day.

Track and Field  - June 20-21

Timers, hurdle crews, assistance with field events and other activities.  Friday’s start time is 11:00 a.m. and Saturday’s start time is 10:00 a.m.  Help will be needed throughout both days.

Archery - June 20-22

4 volunteers needed

Awards - Duration of Games

Volunteers needed to help with sorting, organizing and awarding of medals.  Busy time during the Games is  Soccer and Track and Field.  Some help needed before the Games begin.

Water Delivery  - Duration of Games

Extra help is needed June 13-16 during Soccer competition.  Deliver and refill water coolers; some food delivery.

Registration / Check In - Duration of Games

Extra help is needed throughout the duration of the games to check in individual athletes and teams at the Sorenson Physical Education Building.
