MANDATORY CHECK IN: A coach or team representative from every team must check-in at the Registration/Check-in area at Paintball prior to the first game.  You must hand in a completed roster with all waivers signed by each team member if over 18, or by parents or guardians if team member is under 18, including those who may not be present the first day.  Any team that has not checked in at the Registration/Check-in area will forfeit ALL games until this task has been completed.

$200 per 5-man team (maximum of 6 players rostered per team)
$75 per 3-man Young gun Team ( maximum or 4 players rostered per team)

How to Register: Register online.  If you are mailing in your registration form, send it to Utah Summer Games Registration, 351 West Univeristy Blvd., Cedar City , UT 84720.

Registration Deadline:  11:59 PM Sunday, June 3, 2007.  There will be no on site registration!  All teams wishing to participate must register online before the deadline.

Refund Policy: Due to competition scheduling difficulties and USG planning and supplies requirements there are no refunds. If an event cannot be held due to inclement weather a voucher may be issued to be used for another sport during the 2009 or the same sport during the 2010 Utah Summer Games. Requests must be in writing by email to USG@suu.edu.

Confirmation: Internet Registrations will immediately receive a confirmation e-mail. Mailed or delivered registrations can check at registration area before event.

Check-In: Athletes must check in with registration between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM on Friday the 8th at the Coal Creek Soccer Field, prior to checking in with Paintball Coordinator.  Each athlete will receive a welcome packet containing the official Utah Summer Games Athlete shirt, valuable coupons and other assorted goodies. All teams must have waivers signed by all team members if over 18, or by parents or guardians if under 18. No exceptions.

Format and Rules:  XPSL Classification Format:

Open—Any Div 1, 2, 3 player and only 1 player who is classified as semi-pro on the day of the event.

Novice (Div 4)—A player who has not played on a National Level 7-player or X-ball/NXL Pro, Semi-Pro, Div 1, Div 2 or Div 3 previous to the current tournament or played as XPSL Rookie in more than two events. (Exception #1: If a player currently qualifies as a Div 3 player in the NPPL then they may carry dual classification for the XPSL as Div 4) (Exception #2: A player may play one NPPL event as Div 2 previous to the current season without penalty) (Exception #3: If a player has never played as Div 2 in the NPPL but plans to for 2007 they may carry dual classification as Div 2 and Div 4 for one season)  (See definition of National Level below).

Rookie (Div 5)— A player who has not played on a National Level 7-player or X-ball/NXL Pro, Semi-Pro, Div 1, Div 2, or Div 3 previous to the current tournament or played XPSL Rookie previous to the current tournament season in two or less events. (Exception #1: A player may carry dual classification if they choose to play Div 3 in the NPPL and Div 5 in the XPSL) (See definition of National Level below).

Young Guns—If you were born on January 1, 1992 or later, then you are young enough to participate in the XPSL Young Guns Division in 2007 (If you were born in 1991 or earlier, you are too old to play in the Young Guns Division in 2007). A player also can not have played on a National Level 7-player or X-ball/NXL Pro, Semi-Pro, Am, Novice or Rookie previous to the current tournament in more than one event.

Beginner - Any players who have never participated in any organized paintball tournament prior to the USG.  All players rostered in this division must not have prior tournament experience.  Teams with 1 or more players with prior tournament experience must play Division 5 or higher.

Exceptions: If a player, who had been classified as a Pro, has not been rostered on a Pro team for the last 12 months then they are classified as Semi-Pro. If a player, who had been classified as a Semi-Pro, has not been rostered on a Semi-Pro team for the last 12 months then they are classified as Amateur. If a player who had been classified as an Amateur and has not been rostered on an Amateur team in the last 24 months then they are now Novice. You can never go back to Rookie.

In addition:  Players can play in the Utah Summer Games and it has no effect on their player status for the NPPL or XPSL. 

All players must be 10 years of age or older on June 10, 2007. 

Games will be 5 man capture the flag with a 5 minute time limit with the exception of Young Guns that will now be 3 man center flag with a 5 minute time limit.

Prelims will be held Friday the 8th of June 2007 starting with Young Guns at 8:00 AM. Young Guns will go through their semi-finals as well Friday morning. Everyone else will begin Prelims at 1:00 PM, Friday the 8th of June 2007 with semi-finals and finals following on Saturday.

Note: It will be inter-divisional play depending on how many teams are registered.

Event participation will be capped at 45 teams.

All games will be speedball style games played on Sup-Air (inflatable fields).

All other rules will follow a modified NPPL format.

The judges reserve the right to change the format and/or rules before the competition if deemed necessary to maintain fairness and equality to whatever degree possible, and if unforeseen circumstances require.  Please contact the event coordinator.

Awards:  Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for each of the 4 divisions. Plus a sportsmanship award to one team.
