2005 Softball (Fast Pitch)
Kaysville Blitz pitcher Paige Gines led her team to two gold medal elimination game victories, including taking a no-hitter into the seventh inning of her team’s 2-0 finale triumph, to highlight the final day of competition at the 20th-Anniversary Utah Summer Games Girls Fastpitch Softball tournament held at Bicentennial Park and SUU’s Kathryn Berg Field.
In the 12-under division, the Hurricane Southern Utah Diamonds claimed gold by defeating the Riverdale Outlaws, 7-4, while the Harrisville Utah Storm Black scored four fifth-inning runs to outlast the St. George Southern Utah Diamonds to take home the gold, 7-3, and the Springville Rage-18 blanked the Delta Lady Rabbits, 9-0, to win the 18-under division gold medal.
