St. George’s Michael Glauser shot the low-round of the day with a 7-over par 80 to highlight the 20th-Anniversary Utah Summer Games Youth Golf competition held Monday at Cedar Ridge Golf Course. Glauser’s effort garnered him gold-medal honors in the boy’s 13-14 division, while Logan’s Garrett Jensen carded an 81 (+8) to claim the gold in the boy’s 15-17 division. Jensen finished one-shot ahead of Cedar City’s Jeff Evans (+9, 82) and two shots clear of St. George’s Tyler Warren (+10, 83) as that division was separated by just two strokes.
Erika Aldred of St. George was the top female competitor at the event as she posted a nine-hole score of 42 to win gold in the girl’s 10-under division.
