CEDAR CITY - Bingham High School incoming junior Devan Antczak, who became the youngest overall champion in the history of the Utah Summer Games 10-kilometer Road Race competition Friday, completed the rare event sweep by taking the overall championship in the 5K Road Race held Saturday morning at the Cedar Canyon Parkway and Main Street Park. Eleven-year old Benjamin Jarvis from Cedar City broke one of the two male records for the second day in a row, doing so in the Boy’s 11-under division by placing sixth-overall at 18:12, while Mesquite, Nevada’s Harrie Hess shattered the Men’s 70-over standard with a time of 23:44.1 to claim gold that division and claim his second record of the Games after his 10K performance Friday.

In the women’s competition, 16-year old Cassie Westfall from Cedar City took home gold as the individual champion 18:32.0, while Salt Lake City’s Carolyn Lyman, who took second overall in Friday’s 10K, duplicated that feat with a runner-up finish at 20:49.1 and Cedar City’s Alisha Black followed in third at 20:55.5.
