2004 Golf (Youth)
CEDAR CITY - Cedar City’s Jeff Evans and Shay Perkins tied for low-round honors with scores of 13-over par 84 to highlight the 19th-Annual Utah Summer Games Youth Golf competition held Monday at Cedar Ridge Golf Course. Evans won the boys 13-14 age division by three shots over St. George’s Tyler Warren, who shot 87, while Perkins slipped past Morgan’s Alex Smittle (85; +14) by one stroke.
Richfield’s Brooke Bliss, the only girl in the competition, carded a nine-hole score of 68 in the 11-12 division, while Cedar City’s Michael Dennett posted a 53 for nine holes to win by 15 shots in the boys 11-12 division and St. George’s Christian Adams notched the low nine-hole score with a 52 to take home gold in the boys 10-under division by seven shots.
