Utah Summer Games And Utah Warriors Unite
Wednesday, April 7, 2004
When two great organizations get together, there's bound to be some excitement. National Indoor Football League member, the Utah Warriors will be hosting a Utah Summer Games night on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at the E-Center. The Warriors will be taking on Pacific Western Division rivals, the Wyoming Calvary.
“I'm excited to be working with the Utah Warriors,” commented Kyle Case, Director of the Utah Summer Games. “We had a great time with the Grizzlies last week and I anticipate a real party with the Warriors on May 1.”
Advance tickets are available for only $9 by calling the Warriors at (801) 973-7311 or by downloading the order form below. This special price will not be available at the E-Center box office and tickets must be ordered by April 27, 2004, to take advantage of the promotion.
The Warriors were last year's Pacific Conference Champions and are looking for a repeat this year. "Indoor football is extremely fast-paced and a great family event. Because we play in the E-Center, there isn't a bad seat in the house and it is easy for the crowd to really get into it," said Rory Swensen, Marketing Director for the Warriors. "We like to call this football in a pressure cooker."
A portion of every advanced ticket sold will benefit the Utah Summer Games. In addition, Utah Summer Games representatives will be at the E-Center to help those interested get signed up for 2004 event.
“I think it's great to be teaming up with the Utah Summer Games and to offer this special price. I see it as a beginning of great tradition,” said Swenson.
The Utah Summer Games is Utah 's oldest amateur sports festival and will include over 40 different sports including Wrestling, Track & Field and Swimming.
