Mary Nickles
Mary joined KUTV 2 News in 1991 and currently co-anchors the news weekdays on 2NEWS This Morning and 2NEWS at noon. She majored in English at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, where she attended on a volleyball scholarship.
Mary played volleyball in the Utah Summer Games for six years beginning in 1991, and played on the Utah Predators, a women’s professional team, for three years.
KUTV got double-duty out of Mary as she represented the station on the court, and covered other events at the Summer Games for KUTV newscasts.
Mary grew up in Seattle, Washington where she was active in basketball, soccer, softball, track, volleyball and gymnastics. Mary and her husband, Kent, have been married almost 13 years. They live in the Salt Lake Area and are the parents of twins, Zachary and MacKenzie.
